A few grabs of Android #ICS from the emulator.

Hey Jordan, thanks for reaching out. Some quick thoughts for you:

Replacing Toolbar with Dashboard

I’ve always liked the dashboard approach. Visually it’s awesome and it works well for apps like Venmo. The argument against it is discoverability / burial of features. If you spend most time on Schedule, you may forget about Places or Social. I suppose it’s why Twitter went back to the Tabbed view. You’ve removed the iPhone style toolbar which is ++ IMO. (Aside: the SXSW titlebar click listener would need to pop to the Dashboard, rather than “About SXSW” like on the 2011 version).

Section Indexing on Time

The widget seems to use an iPhone style rather than Android? Creating a custom widget would take more time than using the baked-in version..

Share moved to Toolbar

I like that the Share button is available through the whole flow. Good call!

Replacing Text with Icons

I like the move from text buttons to icons; it works well for Twitter. The argument against them is learnability but the icons in this case are straight forward. The matching button backgrounds with ListView items provides more context. You could use a similar ‘blue dot’ to indicate a session on your Schedule is in progress.
