I wanted to give some visibility to the Leaderboard page of the Foursquare for Android app. Like many Foursquare addicts, I want to know how I’m tracking in relation to my peers - and frequently. So, I decided to create some Android Widgets to reduce the number of clicks to get me that information on a regular basis. 

More specifically, the widgets show:

• position on the leader board, amongst friends
• a user’s mayorship count
• their badge count
• number of check-ins, week to date
• last check-in location

The widgets are refreshed hourly or the user can click to refresh. 

A special thanks to Chris and Boyd from Big Picture Group for providing mock-ups and background assets, and to Daniel from jTribe for releasing patches of their internal source code.

All assets and code has been contributed to the Foursquare for Android open source project and I’m hoping to help integrate it asap.
